Timberman Triathlon
The Timberman Triathlon, held at Sugar Lake Lodge in Cohasset, Minnesota, is a premier destination triathlon featuring crystal-clear lake swimming, scenic rural biking on mostly newly paved county roads, and a relatively flat run course through the resort area with some gravel sections. The event offers multiple race distances: Olympic (1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 6 mile run), Sprint (1/3 mile swim, 11 mile bike, 3 mile run), and Super Sprint (0.15 mile swim, 5.5 mile bike, 1.5 mile run). Teams of 2 or 3 can compete in Olympic and Sprint categories, while the Super Sprint is for individuals only.
The race is chip timed with awards for top finishers across age groups. It is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and run entirely by volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
