Course, logistics and services

The course runs among treetops with views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins and the foothills. The 5K is described as an easier intro to trail running. The 5 Mile route includes more technical trail, more turns and greater elevation gain. The 10 Mile is a double loop of the 5 Mile course. Wet-weather alternate routes and course maps are provided.

Aid stations on all run courses will supply cups of water, fuel and electrolyte drink; the cups are biodegradable. All aid stations will also have dog water bowls. Race items provided to athletes include an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib, free event photos, post-race food and drinks, and professional chip timing. Pancakes and craft beer are planned at the finish. Parking can be limited; volunteers will assist with parking and race bibs can include a parking pass if that option is selected. Bib pickup is available at a scheduled pre-race location and on race morning; photo ID is required and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Awards list top three overall male and female finishers for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
