Tom-A-Hawk Turkey Trot

The Tom-A-Hawk Turkey Trot 5k is an annual running event held in Aurora, Illinois, featuring a flat and fast course along the Fox River. The 2025 race starts at Wilder Park Promenade in historic Downtown Aurora, with a route heading north before a U-turn and finishing near the starting point after crossing a pedestrian bridge. Due to construction, the 2025 course has adjustments and requires participants to register in waves based on pacing.

Runners receive a commemorative long sleeve performance shirt or optional hoodie, a finisher medal, and chip timing. The event supports local education foundations benefiting East and West Aurora school districts and concludes with a post-race celebration at Two Brothers Roundhouse.
