Tom Sawyer’s Trial by Trail is a trail race in Hannibal, Missouri. The event uses trails in the Sodalis Nature Preserve and is a 10K distance. The course includes technical single track, double-wide dirt paths, and paved walking trails. The course records about 900 feet of elevation gain and includes two notable climbs. The event has a 3-hour cutoff and no age limit for entrants.

Registration fees are listed as $40 through August 31 and $50 from September 1. Registration closes Wednesday, October 15 at 11:59 PM CT. Runners who register by September 27 receive a premium race hoodie. The race awards a $100 cash prize to the overall male and female winners and awards in 10-year age groups for top male and female finishers. The event policy states no refunds. Sponsors named for the event include HeBrews XI Coffee, Tom Boland Ford, and Nutrition HQ. Proceeds benefit Suicide Awareness organizations.
