Top Gun Night Run
The Top Gun Night Run 6k is an annual nighttime running event held in Smyrna, Tennessee, hosted by the Capt. Jeff Kuss USMC Memorial. The 3.7-mile (6k) course runs through Lee Victory Recreation Park, including the Smyrna/Rutherford County Airport and Smyrna Municipal Golf Course, finishing at the memorial site.
The race is USATF certified and chip-timed, limited to 650 participants to maintain an intimate atmosphere. Runners and spectators enjoy live music and vendors in the park, creating a festive environment. Proceeds support the upkeep of the memorial and a scholarship fund honoring Captain Jeff Kuss, a USMC pilot commemorated by a retired Blue Angel F/A-18 Hornet displayed at the memorial.
