Trail Loppet
The Utepils Trail Loppet is a popular urban trail running event held in Minneapolis’s Theodore Wirth Park, the city's largest regional park. It features three race distances: a half marathon, a 10K (half of a half marathon), and a 5K, offering a rugged trail experience through diverse terrain including paved, ski, and singletrack trails with notable hills in areas like Eloise Butler and Quaking Bog. The race starts at the Trailhead and finishes at Utepils Brewing, where participants enjoy music and a complimentary Utepils drink.
The event weekend also includes a family-friendly Loppet Field Day with fun runs and games for kids. Aid stations, live athlete tracking, and shuttle services enhance the race experience. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
