Trail of Terror is a multi-distance trail event at Lone Mountain Park in Las Vegas, NV on October 25, 2025. The event includes timed options (4-hour and 6-hour), standard race distances and virtual options. Distances offered include:

The Summit Challenge is a separate climb of Lone Mountain with a reported total ascent of approximately 521 feet and a grade of about 12%. Awards are given to the top three female and male finishers in each distance. A costume contest is part of the event; judges will select three winners from submitted costume photos.

Course, logistics and facilities

All distances run counterclockwise around Lone Mountain on a loop a little over two miles. Loop counts and course layouts are: 50k - 14 loops plus 0.1 mile out-and-back; marathon - 12 loops (26.4 miles); half - 6 loops (13.2 miles); 10k - 2 loops plus 0.9 mile out-and-back; 5k - 1 loop plus 0.45 mile out-and-back; 1 mile - 0.5 mile out-and-back. The course is described as mostly flat.

There will be one aid station at the start/finish area with electrolytes, snacks and medical support; drop bags are allowed. Packet pickup occurs on race day at the staging/start area. Limited parking is noted; street parking is recommended for half marathon and shorter distances.
