The adventure races are open to Solo, Two-Person, Three-Person, and Four-Person teams. Participants navigate using pre-plotted CalTopo maps and visit checkpoints placed at natural landmarks such as trail intersections, canals, bays, and wetlands. Course terrain may include single-track mountain bike trails, dirt or gravel roads, some paved roads, and swamp or wetland areas. All adventure-race participants must sign the USARA waiver. The 5K awards the top three male and top three female finishers; the 5K does not include age-group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
