Event details
The TreesUpstate Turkey Day Run takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Greenville, SC. This is the 17th annual edition and it benefits TreesUpstate, a nonprofit that plants, promotes, and protects trees in five Upstate counties. The event is presented by Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas. Race registration includes a long sleeve shirt; adult shirts run small and the organizer recommends ordering a size up.

Logistics and awards
Packet pick-up is scheduled at Fleet Feet Sports Greenville on November 24 and 25, and at Yee-Haw Brewing Company on November 26 and on race day. A limited number of free trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis during packet pick-up; trees will not be available at Fleet Feet. Course maps are provided as a draft and are subject to approval and change.
Entry fees change by date: $30 until 9/1, $35 until 11/1, then $40. Children 10 and under have a reduced entry fee of $20. A costume contest is sponsored by Fleet Feet Greenville; entry requires posting a photo with a bib on social media per the event instructions, and winners receive merchandise from Fleet Feet Sports of Greenville.
Cash overall awards for 1st-3rd place male and female finishers are paid by gun time: 8k awards $100, $75, $50; 5k awards $75, $50, $35. Age group awards for top three in each division are based on chip time and are a Turkey Day Run BOCO running hat, available for pickup at Fleet Feet starting November 29. Free parking is available in City of Greenville garages on Thanksgiving Day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
