Trent Waldron Half Marathon
The Trent Waldron Half Marathon and 10K, organized by the Anchorage Running Club, is held annually in Anchorage, Alaska, to honor Marcie Trent and her son, Larry Waldron, who tragically died during a training run in 1995. The event features a scenic, relatively flat course starting and ending at Westchester Lagoon, with the half marathon running along the Chester Creek and University trails. Participants can choose to run in person or virtually, with proceeds supporting the Anchorage Young Cancer Coalition.
The race encourages runners of all abilities, offering awards based on age-graded scoring, and emphasizes community and remembrance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
