Tromptown Marathon

The Tromptown Marathon, held annually in DeRuyter, New York, features marathon, half-marathon, and 5K races on scenic and challenging courses. The marathon route covers four counties, starting near the school and including a notable ascent called "heartbreak hill," with panoramic views of valleys and hills. The half-marathon, a 45-year-old course, loops around a lake and offers fresh country air and village vistas.

Both marathon and half-marathon courses are certified loop routes with new start and finish lines near the school. The 5K is a newer, flat out-and-back course.
