Trot for Education : overview
Trot for Education is a fundraising running event sponsored by the Blount County Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization. Course, registration, and event details
The 5K is a USATF-certified course that begins and ends at the Clayton corporate offices parking lot. Early packet pickup will be announced; race-day packet pickup is available on site. Registration uses tiered pricing with no refunds or bib transfers: sign-up rates increase across these periods (examples include 1-Mile $15 / 5K $25 before 8/22; later increases up to 1-Mile $30 / 5K $40 for Nov 1-8). Custom unisex t-shirts are reserved for registrants before October 31 and are available while supplies last; unclaimed shirts will be donated and are not mailed.
Awards include cash for the top three overall male and female finishers, age-category awards including Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), Senior Grandmasters (60+), and top three per ten-year age groups. Awards are based on gun time per USATF regulations; unclaimed awards will be donated. Race rules prohibit roller blades, strollers, bicycles, and dogs on the course.
