Course and logistics
The start/finish area is at Lubell Park (2910 W 53rd St). Courses combine trails in Lubell Park, Mooser Hollow, and Bales Park. The 12.5K route uses all three parks; the 25K runners complete that loop twice in the same direction. All running is counterclockwise. Runners will cross Union Avenue between Mooser Hollow and Bales Park; the road remains open to traffic and runners must cross safely. Aid stations are located at the start/finish and at two points along the course (connection of Lubell & Mooser, and adjacent to Union Ave between Mooser and Bales). Runners are advised to carry enough water to cover stretches of about 3-4 miles between supplies.
Park details: Lubell Park is about 40 wooded acres with a 2-mile Mary’s Loop. Mooser Hollow has about 2.8 miles of trails and several creek crossings. Bales Park covers roughly 65 acres and includes trails such as Little Rock (0.6 mile) and Blackjack (1.9 miles). Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
