Event details
The Turkey Shuffle Houston is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Oyster Creek Park in Sugarland, TX. The event includes multiple race options:
- Kids Dash (about 50 meters)
- 1 Mile
- 5K (3.11 miles)
- 10K (6.22 miles)
- Volunteer then Run 5K (3.11 miles)
- Virtual Run
The course is held in a park and greenbelt setting and may use mixed surfaces, including paved trails, crushed granite and occasional dirt paths. Aid stations will provide water on course. All finishers of all distances receive a shirt and a medal. Packet pickup is offered before the event.
Race logistics and awards
The 5K and 10K are chip timed and include overall trophies for first place male and female. The 10K awards include overall Bigfoot trophies for first place male and female. Masters (age 40+) receive special recognition pins. Standard age-group awards use gold, silver and bronze pins for categories from "10 and under" up to "70+" for both male and female. A costume contest is part of the event with a "Biggest Turkey" trophy and a prize pack for the winner. Volunteers have multiple roles and some volunteer positions earn a race shirt, souvenir medal, VIP access and a free future race entry or a $20 digital gift card.
