Tuscobia Winter Ultra

Website

The Tuscobia Winter Ultra is a challenging human-powered winter endurance event held on the Tuscobia and Wild Rivers State Trails in Northern Wisconsin. Participants can choose between an 80-mile one-way course or a 160-mile out-and-back route, with the longer distance serving as a qualifier for the Iditarod Trail Invitational. The event welcomes running, biking, or skiing, and requires mandatory gear with largely self-supported racing and minimal checkpoint aid.

Outside assistance is prohibited, though supporting local businesses along the route is encouraged. The race takes place in mid-winter, offering a rugged, remote trail experience emphasizing respect, self-reliance, and adventure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
