Tuscobia Winter Ultra

Website

Located on the Tuscobia and Wild Rivers State Trails in Northern Wisconsin, the Tuscobia Winter Ultra is a human-powered endurance event for running, biking, or skiing. Participants choose an 80-mile one-way route or a 160-mile out-and-back course; the latter serves as a qualifier for the ITI. Both distances are largely self-supported with minimal checkpoint assistance and require gear checks.

The experience emphasizes self-reliance and respect, with no outside help from family or friends, while supporters are encouraged to patronize local businesses. A mandatory pre-event meeting and strict gear rules round out the event’s organized structure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
