Event details
The 15th Annual Twinkle Toes event takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Star, North Carolina (302 S. Main Street, Star, NC 27356). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Entry fees change after November 30, 2025. Early registration rates are $25 for the 5K and $20 for the 1-mile. Rates increase December 1–13 to $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1-mile. Entrants registered by November 30 are guaranteed a t-shirt. There is no extra charge for strollers. Bandit runners are prohibited and will be removed by law enforcement. Dogs and other pets are not allowed to participate.
Course, timing and awards
Both races start and finish at Star Elementary School on Cotton Creek Road and use a residential course through the town of Star. Water stations are located at the 1-mile and 2-mile markers and at the finish line. Race timing will be provided by Uwharrie Dash (formerly Vac & Dash staff from Albemarle). Registered participants receive a bag containing a t-shirt and other items; bags are available for pickup at Star Elementary School Gym on December 12 (afternoon) and on race morning. An awards ceremony will be held immediately following the race. Awards include overall male and female 1st-3rd and 1st-3rd in the listed age categories; overall winners are not eligible for age-group awards.
