Event overview
The Viking 5K & 10K takes place on February 28, 2026, at Chain Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi (5619 Hwy 42, Hattiesburg, MS 39401). The event includes the following distances:

All runners must register on RunSignup. There is no on-site registration. Participants are asked to meet at the Headstock next to Loch Lothian. The event is presented by US Road Running.
Course and logistics
The course uses a short out-and-back segment of 0.78 miles one way, which makes the out-and-back equal to 1.56 miles. The 5K runs that out-and-back twice, and the 10K runs it four times. A course time limit of 2:00 hours is in place. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race starts.
