Event
The UTHealth Houston Half Marathon & 10K takes place on October 26, 2025, with the pre- and post-race area at Sam Houston Park in downtown Houston. The event is presented by the Houston Striders, a 501(c)(3) running club. Sponsors include UTHealth Houston, MVMT, Saint Arnold Brewing Company, and IHOP. The event supports local charities and features the Kind Stride Program, which will match up to $25,000 in registrant donations.

Both the half and the 10K are USATF certified (Half: TX19012JH; 10K: TX19014JH). The race uses a single-loop course with a start into downtown, long straight sections on Allen Parkway, and a finish with downtown views. The route is described as mostly flat with some bumps on Allen Parkway. The course remains open for about four hours for the half and about 3.5 hours for the 10K.
Packet pickup is at UTHealth Houston - Bellaire Station, 6500 West Loop S, Bellaire, TX, on October 24 (11:00 to 19:00) and October 25 (09:00 to 17:00); there is no packet pickup on race day. No dogs, strollers, skates, skateboards, or bicycles are allowed on the course. Handcycle registration requires an access code; handcyclists must wear a hard-shelled helmet, avoid drafting, and maintain control in crowds. Event services include bag drop, bike valet (bib used as valet ticket), free photo downloads, post-race Saint Arnold beer, IHOP pancakes, and an energy drink recharge.
