Utica Ugly Sweater 5K : event overview
The Utica Ugly Sweater 5K takes place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, in New York Mills, NY. This is the 8th annual running of the event. The race is a 5K road course that starts and finishes at Pizza Boy's, 9 Clinton St, New York Mills, NY 13417. The event is capped at 300 participants. Proceeds benefit the NY Mills High School PTSO Parent Teacher Student Organization. The event offers both in-person and virtual options organized by team: Team Santa and Team Grinch, plus virtual Team Santa and virtual Team Grinch.
Registration, packet pickup and event features
In-person registration is listed at $40.75, including a $3.25 fee; that price increases after November 30, 2025. Virtual registration is listed at $43.40, including a $3.40 fee; that price increases after October 31, 2025. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 5:00-7:00 PM at a location to be determined, and on race day, December 7, 9:45-10:45 AM at Pizza Boy's, 9 Clinton St. All participants may receive a custom stocking based on team choice and a custom finisher medal that can serve as a tree ornament. There will be awards for overall and age-group winners, an ugly sweater contest with multiple prize categories, and a post-race party at Pizza Boy's with free food for runners and beer specials.
