Vegas Polar Plunge 5K
The Vegas Polar Plunge 5K, held annually at the Silver Springs Recreation Center in Henderson, Nevada, offers participants a unique winter running experience. Runners can choose from a 5K, 1-mile, or virtual options, all culminating in an optional plunge into the chilly outdoor pool, with water temperatures historically ranging from the high 30s to low 40s Fahrenheit. The course includes the scenic Pittman Wash Trail.
After the race and plunge, participants enjoy hot chocolate, coffee, cookies, and beverages including cold beer for those 21 and older. Locker rooms and hot showers are available. Non-runners can also join the plunge event.
