Sponsors named for the event include Trail Toes and Drink LMNT.

The event uses the eight Octo-Arms to build distances: completing Arm 1 and Arm 2 is described as a first Ultra; finishing Arms 1 through 4 equals a 50 mile event; adding Arm 5 creates a 100K; finishing all eight within 32 hours earns the 100-mile buckle. Organizers list a 32-hour allowance for finishes and state that leaving the course for any reason results in a DNF. Due to South Florida summer heat, organizers may remove participants for health concerns. There are long sections with no water access. Crew is not mandatory for the event this year but is strongly recommended; if this is a first 100 mile attempt, an experienced crew is required.
