Veterans Day 5K Fun Run/Walk at Hampton Park
The event takes place on November 8, 2025, at Hampton Park, 30 Mary Murray Drive, Charleston, SC 29403. The program includes an on-site 5K fun run or walk, a virtual 5K fun run or walk, and a reduced-fee on-site 5K option for veterans and active duty participants. Virtual participants may complete their distance at a time and place of their choosing and will receive event items by mail to US, APO, or FPO addresses.
Course, participant items and logistics
The on-site course is marked as a 5K by circling the park three times; participants may choose a shorter or longer distance. There will be no awards or official timed results, though a time clock is planned at the finish line. Hampton Park will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event; parking on nearby streets is subject to posted time limits and parking on grass or across driveways is not allowed. All registrants receive a long sleeve shirt and a medal. The first 250 on-site registrants will also receive a custom embroidered blanket; blankets are not mailed to virtual participants. To be guaranteed a shirt and medal, registration must be completed by October 8, 2025. Virtual shipments may take a month or more depending on demand.
Purpose and beneficiaries
Proceeds support Low Country veterans through the Lowcountry Veterans organization, a local veteran scholarship fund, and the Food Pantry at the Charleston VA Medical Center.
