Event
The Virginia Marathon is organized by Old Dominion Racing and takes place in Middleburg, Virginia on March 22, 2026. The event offers multiple race distances:
- Full Marathon
- Merikós (about 19.65 miles)
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
All races start and finish at The Hill School in Middleburg. The courses travel on paved roads with some gravel sections through Loudoun and Fauquier counties, passing horse farms and rolling countryside. The Full Marathon and the Merikós include a route up Bull Run Mountain with a total elevation gain of more than 3000 feet. Middleburg is in Loudoun County and is about 30 minutes from Dulles International Airport.
Logistics and services
Packet pickup is available the day before at PR Run and Walk in Leesburg and on race day at The Hill School. Full Marathon finishers receive a VAM hoodie; participants also receive a commemorative tech shirt and a finisher’s medal. Food and drink offerings listed for the event include Great Harvest scones, MooThru ice cream, hot chocolate/coffee, and HoneyStinger snacks. Each participant’s bib includes three vouchers that can be used for food and drinks. Water stations will provide bottled water and Gatorade and there will be bathrooms on the route and at the start/finish area. Parking is available on The Hill School property and in nearby town lots; a hotel partnership with the Dulles Airport Marriott includes a group rate.
