Virginia Marathon

The Virginia Marathon, organized by Old Dominion Racing, is a scenic running event held in historic Middleburg, Virginia, nestled in the heart of Virginia’s horse and wine country. The race offers five distances: Full Marathon, Merikós 3/4 Marathon (19.65 miles), Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k. The course traverses paved and some gravel roads through Loudoun and Fauquier counties, featuring rolling countryside, horse farms, and shaded areas.

The full Marathon and Merikós routes include a challenging ascent of Bull Run Mountain with over 3,000 feet of elevation gain. The start and finish are at The Hill School, close to Middleburg’s charming downtown with boutiques and local eateries.
