Event overview
The Wags & Whiskers 5K & Furry Fun Run takes place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Breckenridge City Park, 601 E. Walker, Breckenridge, TX 76424. The event offers two running options:
- 5K
- Fun Run
Well behaved dogs on leashes may participate with their humans. All proceeds benefit the Stephens County Humane Society to cover food, housing, medical care and transport for unwanted animals in Breckenridge and Stephens County.
Entry, fees and awards
Pre-registration fees are listed as $30 for participants 18 and over, $20 for participants 17 and under, and $15 for the Fun Run. Race day registration adds $5 to the listed fees. Prices increase after December 12, 2025. Entries received by November 12, 2025, are guaranteed a soft-sided cooler.
Awards are given by age division for male and female categories: 12 & under, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division and to the top overall male and female runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
