The Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival Run events take place on April 25, 2026 in Wakarusa, IN at Northwood Middle School, 301 North Elkhart Street. The event program includes these options:

- 1 Mile - Maple 1-Mile Kids Run (ages 4-12)

Chip timing is provided by Watts My Time. Awards are given to the top 3 male and female overall finishers in the 5K and to the top 3 finishers in each listed age group. The 1-mile runs award the top 3 boys and girls in the 12/U and 13+ divisions.
Participation, fees and logistics
Entry fees vary by registration period; listed prices range from $15 to $28 for the 5K, $5 to $15 for the 1 Mile, and $17 to $40 for the combo option. Multi-person and group discounts are available, and a referral program offers partial refunds when friends register. No refunds are allowed otherwise.
Age and equipment rules: the 5K and combo require participants to be at least 6 years old; the 1-mile kids run requires ages 4 to 12; all participants must be registered. Strollers are allowed; bikes, scooters, skates, and rollerblades are not. Dogs must be on non-retractable leashes, supervised, and removed if aggressive; dogs are not allowed in the middle school gym. Packet pick-up is available the day before at the American Legion and on race day at Northwood Middle School. Parking is available at Northwood Middle School and Wakarusa Elementary School.
