5K Walk to SOAR
The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Winston-Salem, NC. It is presented by EAGLES of Grace, a faith-based mentoring program that uses a holistic and social emotional learning approach to support youth and young adults. The event is described as an inaugural 5K that will also serve as an annual fundraising campaign for the organization’s mentoring and educational initiatives.
The event program includes a 5K walk/run and a Kids Fun Run. Entry fees and registration opening dates are:
- 5K Walk to SOAR: $30; registration opens January 8, 2026 at 12:00pm EST
- Kids Fun Run: $15; registration opens January 8, 2026 at 12:33pm EST
Course and logistics
The venue is Quarry Park, 1790 Quarry Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107. The course is a two-loop layout that starts and finishes near the overhang of the overlook pier. Participants will pass through the finish area once at the halfway point and a second time to complete the race.
Packet pickup is available the day before the event at Brown and Douglas Rec Center (4725 Indiana Ave, Winston-Salem, NC) from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, and on race day at Quarry Park between 7:30am and 8:45am. The event is scheduled to run rain or shine; if weather is too severe the race will be rescheduled. Sponsorship levels range from $250 to $5,000.
