The Ward Parkway Thanksgiving Day Run takes place on November 27, 2025, in Kansas City, MO. The event starts at 86th Terrace and Ward Parkway, on the east side of the Ward Parkway Center. Distances offered include:
- 5k
- 10k
- 1 Mile Walk
- Downhill Mile Run
- Tiny Turkey Trot (Kids 12 and under)
All participants receive a long-sleeve thermal shirt, a 6 in. Tippin’s pie as the finisher item, and free photos. A traditional metal finisher medal is available for purchase during registration. Families or groups of four or more qualify for a group discount.
Logistics and policies
Parking is accessed via State Line Rd; Ward Parkway will be closed for the race and parking attendants will direct vehicles. Chip timing records each runner when they cross the start line; a results tent near the finish allows lookup by bib number. Thanksgiving-themed award medals are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and top three finishers in age groups from 9 & under up to 80+. Awards must be claimed at the Awards Tent and will not be mailed.
Strollers are allowed but should not block other runners. No motorized vehicles, roller blades, bikes or dogs are permitted on course. Harvesters Community Food Network is the charity partner, with donation bins available. Registration fees are not refundable; transfers to another participant or distance are allowed and registrants may switch to a virtual option if needed.
