Event overview
The Watermelon Dash Austin takes place on August 22, 2026, at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. This is the second annual running of the Watermelon Dash and it is the third race in the Summer Dash Series, which also includes the Lemonade Dash and the Popsicle Dash. The event offers both in-person and virtual options.

Logistics and awards
The in-person course starts and finishes near Dell Diamond, with the 10K run consisting of two loops and the 5K consisting of one loop. A Kids/Family 1K is offered as a walk of about 0.62 miles. Packet pick-up includes a race packet and t-shirt; a Race Day Packet Pick-Up option is available for a $15 fee. A Friday packet pick-up is scheduled the day before the race with time and location to be announced.
Awards are given for top overall and masters finishers and for age group winners in 10-year divisions. Age group awards must be claimed at the awards tent on race day; unclaimed awards can be shipped afterward for a fee of $9.95. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
