Watermelon Run

The Watermelon Run is a road race event held in Lawrence, Michigan, as part of the Lawrence Ox Roast on Labor Day weekend. The event features USATF certified courses with three distance options: 5K, 10K, and 15K. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group and gender, while trophies go to race finalists.

Participants pick up their bibs at the Van Buren Conference Center. After the race, runners enjoy fresh watermelon and a complimentary pancake and sausage breakfast at the Lawrence Fire Department, with additional breakfast tickets available by donation.
