Wausaultra Single, Double, Limitless
The WausaUltra event, held in Wausau, Wisconsin at Sylvan Park, offers three race formats: Limitless, Double, and Solo. The course is a scenic 4.167-mile mostly trail loop featuring hills, forested single tracks, creek crossings, and views over a valley. The Limitless race is a "last runner standing" format starting Friday, where participants run one loop every hour until only one remains or until midnight Sunday.
The Solo and Double races occur Saturday, allowing runners to complete one or two loops within three hours, catering to both competitive and recreational trail runners. A kids' race under half a mile is also offered free for children 12 and under. The event emphasizes a supportive, community atmosphere with a central home base for aid and rest.
