Waves of Freedom 5K Run/Walk
The Waves of Freedom 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Culver, Indiana (46511). The event takes place at 819 E Lake Shore Dr and follows a course along the shores of Lake Maxinkuckee. Participants will receive a custom event t-shirt if they register early.
The event includes the following distances:
- 5 km
- 1/4 mile Sparkler Race (open to ages 3 - 10)

Registration notes: registration for a guaranteed shirt must be completed by July 1. General registration closes July 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm EDT. Entry fees listed are $25 for the 5K and $5 for the 1/4 mile Sparkler Race.
On-site features described by the organizer include music, a free root beer from Culver’s Original Root Stand, and an optional jump in the lake after the race. The race day coincides with a Lake Festival offering vendors, kids’ amusement rides, a parade, a car show, dining options, kayaking, swimming at the town beach, and fireworks on the lake.
