Wawayanda Trail Fest (April 25, 2026)
Wawayanda Trail Fest is a trail running event at Wawayanda State Park, Hewitt, NJ. Distances offered include:
- 100K
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- Half Marathon
The course features rhododendron tunnels, marsh bridges, gravel road and single-track trails. The full loop is described as a unique 26+ mile trail that winds through the hills of northern New Jersey. There are two road crossings and both are inside the park.
Course details and logistics
Course routing: the Half Marathon is one loop (about 13–14 miles). The 50K follows the full loop. The 50 Mile is the full loop twice plus the south loop. The 100K is two full loops. Three aid stations are on course: Maraschino, BaseCamp, and Thirsty Dog (water only). Maraschino is about 7 miles into the first loop and does not allow crews, spectators or drop bags. BaseCamp is at the start/finish and is the location for crews, pacers and spectators. The Half uses Maraschino only; the 50K visits four aid stations; the 50 Mile visits seven.
Pacer and crew rules: pacers are allowed for the 50K, 50 Mile and 100K at specified mile points; no pacers are allowed for the Half. Crews are allowed only at BaseCamp. Parking and the start/finish are at the boat ramp/boathouse parking lot; entrants are directed to use the east park entrance. Camping is available on site for a $10 fee per group. Every finisher receives a finisher award; top three awards are given by gender and non-binary divisions for each distance. Registration closes April 23, 2026.
