Whispering Oaks Cheers to New Year's 5k takes place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Oxford, FL at Whispering Oaks Winery, 10934 S Hwy 475. The event offers the following distances:

- 1.5 Mile Walk
The 5k entry is listed with prices of $60 and $25 (the $25 rate for ages 1–20); the walk entry is $25. The 5k is open to ages 1–99. Prices increase after October 10, 2025. The race is timed and scored by J3 Timing and results will be posted at J3Timing.com. Free race photos are uploaded online for download after the event.
Course, awards and logistics
The course starts and finishes at the winery and includes trails through the vines. The route is described as mostly cross country and is run as a two-lap course. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground. Dogs are not allowed. Minors may register at a discounted rate; those minors will receive a shirt, medal, and bib but will not receive a wine glass or a glass of wine.
Top three finishers male and female in each age category receive custom age-group awards. Categories are listed in both 10-year ranges (for example 1–9, 10–19, up to 80 & Over) and 5-year ranges (for example 14 & Under, 15–19, up to 80 & Over).
