Whistle Pig Shadow Chaser 8k/5k
The Whistle Pig Shadow Chaser takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in Brown County State Park at the Recreation Building near the campground entrance, 1801 E St Rd 46, Nashville, IN 47448. Entry for each event is listed at $27. Registration closes February 5, 2026 at 12:00 pm EST. Participants are responsible for the Brown County State Park gate fee. Both races are held entirely on paved road. The 5k course heads south from the Recreation Building, stays in the campground, turns at site 263, and returns to the Recreation Building. The 8k follows the same initial route, continues past Hohen Point, then turns back to the Recreation Building; this 8k route is subject to change based on road accessibility and conditions. Shirts are available; entrants can take $5 off registration by opting out of a shirt. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by January 26 and while supplies last. Awards are given to each race overall winner, and medals are awarded to age-group winners in the listed age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
