The Winterfest 1 Mile Fun Run and 5k takes place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Spring, NC (70 Legends Circle, 28756). It is the second annual running of the event and is described as a family-friendly fun run/walk. Registration includes one free entry into the Winterfest Village for the same day; the larger Winterfest program at the venue runs November 29 to December 31 and includes a drive-through light show and other holiday activities (the light show requires a separate admission).

Registration and logistics
Registration pricing varies by date: early pricing (Aug 28 - Sep 30) is $40 for the 5K and $30 for the 1 Mile; standard pricing (Oct 1 - Nov 26) is $45 for the 5K and $35 for the 1 Mile; late pricing (Nov 27 and later) is $50 for the 5K and $40 for the 1 Mile. Registering by November 21 guarantees a race-day t-shirt; later sign-ups do not guarantee a shirt. Groups registering 10 or more together receive a $5 discount per person. Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
On-site details: plenty of parking is available in Tryon lots via the main venue entrance. The event will use chip timing by SnapTiming. Jogging strollers are permitted on the course; dogs are not allowed except for service dogs; bicycles are not permitted. Participants over 21 may receive a wristband for complimentary beer after the race; valid ID is required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
