Event overview
The 6th Annual WIT 5K takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Montgomery Whitewater, 1100 Maxwell Blvd, Montgomery, AL 36104. The event is organized by Women In Training, Inc., a volunteer-driven youth empowerment nonprofit that works to end period poverty. Funds raised support the WITKITS campaign to provide menstrual, dental and hygiene supplies, menstrual education, and leadership opportunities to underserved girls.
Since its founding in July 2019, WIT has distributed more than 50,000 WITKITS to girls and women in need across Alabama. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at Montgomery Whitewater.

- 5K (3.1 miles) Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Walk
- Virtual 5K Run/Walk
In-person 5K participants will receive a WIT 5K t-shirt and a participant medal. Virtual 5K registrants will receive a shirt, bib and medal by mail and may submit results online. The in-person 5K offers overall trophies for male and female winners and medals for age group winners. Age groups for awards are 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Entry fees listed for the events include a $30 price for the 5K, $20 for the 1 Mile, and $30 for the Virtual 5K, with reduced youth pricing for ages 7-18.
