Event overview
The Worcester Firefighters 6K takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Worcester, Massachusetts. The event is the 25th annual running and was created as a living memorial after the 1999 Worcester Cold Storage fire to honor six firefighters. The race also remembers additional Worcester Fire Department members who died in the line of duty in 2011, 2018 and 2019. The event is held at Institute Park, 141 Salisbury Street.

All participants in the 6K and 3K walk are chip-timed. The course uses a loop format: the 3K walk completes one loop, 6K participants complete two loops, and the Kids 1K is an out-and-back that starts and finishes at the main start/finish line. The event includes a BBQ inside Institute Park. Online registration closes on June 6, 2026. Published online entry fees begin at $33 for the 6K, $30 for the 3K walk, and $20 for the Kids 1K, with higher fees for later registration and walk-up registration on race weekend.
