XIT Empty Saddle Race

The XIT Empty Saddle Race, held annually in Dalhart, Texas, is a family-friendly running event that takes place during the historic XIT Rodeo weekend. The 48th edition, scheduled for August 9, 2025, features a 5K and a 1-mile run, with options to register for either or both races. The race starts at the Pavilion on Farm to Market Rd 281 and includes amenities such as bibs, water stations, and runner’s bags.
