The 35th Annual YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh Turkey Trot presented by UPMC Health Plan is scheduled for Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 810 River Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA. The event is organized by the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and P3R. Proceeds benefit YMCA food pantry programs and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. The event promotes a Peoples Gas food drive and asks participants to bring non-perishable donations to packet pickup or the race. Since 2020 the YMCA has distributed over 120 tons of food to local neighborhoods.

The course pace limit is 20 minutes per mile. The minimum age for the 5 Mile and Double Gobble is 12 years; there is no minimum age for the 5K and the 1 Mile. Strollers and dogs are permitted only in the 1 Mile Family Fun Run. Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller skates, and rollerblades are not permitted on the course. There is no gear check; runners will not be allowed to bring bags into start or finish runner-only areas. Small bags no larger than 8.5" x 11" may be permitted; camelbacks and fuel belts are allowed but subject to inspection. The only items handed out during the event are bananas and water. Free parking will be available on race day. The event enforces a zero-tolerance policy against discrimination and harassment. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
