Yorktown Independence Day 8K Run/Walk
The Yorktown Independence Day 8K Run/Walk is a chip-timed event held annually on July 4th in Yorktown, Virginia. Participants run or walk along the historic Yorktown Battlefield Tour Road, enjoying a USATF-certified 8K course. The event offers multiple race options including an 8K Run/Walk, 5K Fun Run, youth races, virtual runs, and a new 8K Ruck division.
Runners gather near York High School and are led to the start by traditional Fife and Drummers, creating a festive atmosphere.
