Yosemite Half Marathon
The Yosemite Half Marathon is a scenic, mostly downhill point-to-point race hosted by Vacation Races in Bass Lake, California, just outside Yosemite National Park. The 13.1-mile course starts with a five-mile forest-dirt segment through the Sierra National Forest, followed by a fast five-mile paved downhill descent, and ends with a 3-mile loop around Bass Lake. Terrain is mixed road and dirt, with about 449 feet of elevation gain and a max elevation near 5,448 feet.
The event emphasizes cup-free racing and zero-waste operations, with multiple aid stations, medic support, and free race photos. It offers a Wander Project charity bib option and a Vacation Races Campground at Recreation Point for weekend stays. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
