The Zion Half Marathon is scheduled for February 28, 2026 in Springdale, Utah. The event is a half marathon point-to-point road race that begins in Virgin, UT and finishes in front of Cable Mountain Lodge in Springdale, near the south entrance to Zion National Park. The course is rated 2/5 difficulty, is paved, and has a steady uphill profile. The event is wheelchair and stroller accessible and has a 4-hour time limit (about 18 minutes per mile).
Course and logistics
Runners follow a paved route on Hwy 9 and a paved trail that parallels the road, passing through or near the towns of Grafton and Rockville and running alongside the Virgin River. There are five aid stations on course, spaced roughly every 2 miles (near miles 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11); aid stations include water, electrolyte drink, gels, toilets, and basic first aid. Aid station near mile 3 is the official clothing drop; a medic is stationed near mile 7. The race is a cup-free event, so participants must use a reusable bottle, hydration pack, or a reusable cup. There is no start-line parking - shuttles run from Springdale and La Verkin to the start, and finish-line shuttles return runners to those shuttle stops. Expo and bib pickup are held in the area (Virgin Town Park is listed as an expo/bib pickup location). Awards include place medals for top finishers and finisher medals for all finishers.
