3H Trail Half Marathon - King George, VA

Website

The 3H Trail Half Marathon in King George, Virginia, is a scenic, flat, and fast out-and-back race held entirely on the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail, a converted railroad bed offering solid footing with surfaces of dirt, gravel, grass, and pine needles. The course starts at the eastern end of the trail, running west for about 6.5 miles before returning, with nearly 100% shade provided by trees along the route. Known for its hot, hazy, and humid August conditions, the event welcomes runners and walkers aged 14 to 99.

Participants receive a technical tank top or t-shirt and a finisher medal, with cash prizes awarded to top finishers. The race supports trail preservation and features aid stations, volunteer support, and post-race refreshments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
