About the race
The Gus 5K is a family-friendly running event in Fredericksburg, Virginia, offering a 5K, a Kids 1 Mile (12 and Under), and a 1 Mile (13+). The course starts at the First Base Line near Virginia Credit Union Stadium, with Gus guiding participants, and winds through Fredericksburg’s streets past red, white and blue stations before finishing on the Home Plate on the stadium field. The day features Mascot Madness, team-spirited stops with water and baseball-themed surprises, and a post-race celebration with ballpark snacks and a Gus-themed medal ceremony.
