2025 Veteran’s Tribute Trot : event overview
The Veteran’s Tribute Trot is a running event on November 9, 2025 at Wilderness Presidential Resort in Spotsylvania, Virginia. The event offers the following distances:

- 10k
Points from these races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series, and toward the Sippin Series. The event benefits Leashes of Valor, a nonprofit that provides service dogs at no cost to wounded and disabled veterans. A virtual race option is available.
Race details and services
The courses are paved and described as fairly flat with no major hills. The event is chip timed and provides a finisher medal and a technical event shirt. Participants receive one glass of beer or wine from a local brewery after the race. Water stations are placed at specific mile markers: five on the 10k and two on the 5k; Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are available in buildings at the start area.
Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5k and $50 for the 10k through October 31 (higher rates apply after that date and on race morning). T-shirts are guaranteed for entries made before October 29. Awards include top three men and women overall and first and second places in multiple age categories; overall top three are not eligible for age-group awards.
