5K on the Runway

The 5K on the Runway is a unique running event held at the Evansville Wartime Museum in Evansville, Indiana. Scheduled for May 2, 2026, it features a 5K run/walk, a 1-mile walk, and a Kid’s Dash for children aged 1 to 9. Participants run along the airport’s runways, taxiways, and ramps, enjoying views of the Air Traffic Control Tower, Airport Safety Department, and historic exhibits like the P-47 Thunderbolt and a 1943 Sherman Tank.
