Distances
- 5-mile loop for main laps
- 1-mile loop for the Fun Run/Walk
- ~0.5-mile Little Loopet for kids
Logistics and facilities
All events start and finish at the Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Park (1221 Theodore Wirth Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55422). The course uses repeated loops; participants aim to complete as many laps as possible within their chosen event. A full ultramarathon-style aid station will be available between loops and will highlight Dakota foods; a self-serve water and energy drink station is located at mile 3 of the 5-mile loop. Pacers are allowed under event rules and each runner may have only one pacer at a time; relay teams may exchange only between loops. An Indigenous People’s festival at the Trailhead will feature Native vendors, chefs, artists, storytellers, community partners, and traditional games. Parking is available at Mortenson Parking Lot (700 Meadow Ln N); additional bike racks are provided and the Number 7 bus stops at the Trailhead. Proceeds benefit the Loppet Foundation.
