Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ Loopet Loppet

The Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ Loopet Loppet is a unique running and walking event held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, celebrating the Dakota people, land, and traditions along Ȟaȟá Wakpádaŋ (Bassett Creek). Participants can choose to run or walk solo or in teams of four, completing as many 5-mile loops as possible within 6 or 12 hours. The event also features a 1 Loop Fun Run/Walk and a Little Loopet for kids.

All activities start and finish at The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Park, where an Indigenous People’s festival offers Native vendors, artists, storytellers, and cultural experiences.
