Ache Around the Lake

Ache Around the Lake is a multi‑event running festival held in Tryon, NC, with portions crossing into Landrum, SC, around the private Lake Lanier. The 8K course covers about 4.97 miles of hills, starting with a descent and featuring a notably steep early hill, GRUNT #1, followed by additional climbs. Runners are supported by aid stations around miles 2 and 4.

The event also offers The Ouch 2 Mile, a Kids 1 Mile Fun Run, and a Virtual 8K. Start/finish near the Lake Lanier area at 1005 S. Trade Street.
