Aid via Action 5K : event overview
The Aid via Action event is a charity run held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Bachman Lake Park, 3500 W Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75220. The event centers on raising awareness and support for global health access, with a specific mission to strengthen surgical care resources in Northern Guatemala so local physicians can provide care with competence and compassion. The main distance is 5K. A virtual race option is available; virtual participants may complete the distance at any location and will receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal by mail after the event.
Packet pickup is offered the Friday before the event at the Playtri Dallas store and also at the race site on race day. Couch-to-5K training plans are provided in both eight-week and four-week formats. The event uses disposable timing chips attached to bibs for official results.
Course, rules and logistics
The course is set at Bachman Lake Park. Per USATF safety rules, pets are not allowed on the course; strollers are permitted. Participants on scooters, roller or inline skates, or bicycles are not allowed. The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged for safety reasons. The minimum age to enter the 5K is 6 years. Awards include Overall Winner, Masters and Grand Master winners by sex, and age-group awards in 10-year increments from 15 and under through 80+. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Registration includes consent for race photography and video to be used for promotional purposes.
