Allen Park 5k

The Allen Park 5K Run/Walk, organized by the Downriver Runners club, is a longstanding annual event held in Allen Park, Michigan. The race features a fast, flat 5K course through local neighborhoods, starting and finishing at the Allen Park Presbyterian Church at 7101 Park Ave. The event also includes a Kid's 1 Mile Fun Run.

Proceeds support the Tony Mifsud scholarship program, awarding two $1,000 college scholarships to area high school runners. The race honors Tony Mifsud, a beloved coach and founding member of the club. Awards are given to overall and age group winners, with street parking available nearby.
